Crabtree & Evelyn Hand Scrub and Lotion - 60 Second Fix for Hands

Purchased by Me

First, before I get to the 60 Second Fix for Hands, I just wanted you to all know that as you read this I am currently on my way to St. Louis International Airport. I'm headed to New York this up coming week to spend Mother's Day with my Mom. I'm BEYOND excited to see my Mom!!!!!

I haven't been home in over 2 years (she came to visit me last year), so I'm looking forward to seeing all my friends and family. This was a sort of last minute trip, so unfortunately I was not able to line up Guest Posters for my absence.  Have no fear!!! The blog will NOT go silent in my absence. I have several posts auto scheduled (like this one lol) to keep the blog going for the time I am away. Also, I will be on Facebook a lot since I will have so much time off.
So, in short I won't be here but I will be here :) On to my post...

For those that follow my blog and follow me on Facebook, you may remember last month I took a trip to Chicago. While I was there, I hit the Mall and came home with this...

I'm not a big Crabtree & Evelyn Fan, but for some reason I was drawn to the store this time around. I went in and sniffed around (sniffed around - as in smelling and touching everything lol).  The Sales Associate was very polite, and not pushy at all. She did notice me looking at the scrubs and offered to do a hand scrub for me. I love in store demonstrations, it gives me a chance to test products that I would normally not purchase.

She grabbed the set shown above, and did her thing. I loved the feel and the smell of it. I'm really big into hand scrubs. When I use cuticle remover, I always follow that up with a scrub. I also like to use scrubs in between nail swatching....Yes, you heard me right. After I swatch a polish, I remove it, add cuticle oil, and then use a scrub, dry my hands and move on to my next swatch. It cleans things up nicely. After the in-store demonstration, my hands felt like SILK. They were soooooo soft. There was no way I was walking out of that store without this set lol.
This is what is included in the box...

The scent on the scrub and lotion are very strong. I decided on the Citron because I love all things citrus. The set does come in other scents. After you use the scrub and lotion, the smell lingers for at least an hour afterward, so make sure you love the scent.

Call me old fashion, but I love that the scrub comes in a metal tube. The lotion is in a plastic tube. There are just three simple steps:
1. Scrub
2. Rinse
3. Apply Lotion

The scrub is very granular and very scruby. Wait...is scruby a word??? - It is now lol. This is no weak or gentle scrub.  For me that's perfect, it gets rid of all that dead skin on your hands and cuticle area. I really LOVE this scrub.

Now the one surprising factor of this scrub is it does not rinse squeaky clean.  It feels as if you have already applied lotion. I highly recommend going into a store for a demonstration to make sure you really like the texture and soft feel after the scrub.

Naild'it New Holo Polishes!!!

Press Sample

Naild'it has created an amazing line of scattered Holographic polishes, and I have swatches of a few of them here for you guys today!

Many of the Indie Polish makers are diving into the Holographic craze, and Andrea of Naild'it has done an amazing job in this first, of I hope many, Holographic collections.

These swatches are 3 coats in natural sunlight.

(*Please note: there are few other Holo polishes also available, outside of the colors shown above - Starry Eyed Surprise, StarBurt, Glowber - you can see the remaining polishes HERE
)

Salmon Run: The name of this polish is right on the money. The color is exactly that of raw salmon. The formula on this polish was flawless, and the best of the entire collection.

Need I say more? The pictures speak for themselves on these polishes.

Holo!! My Name is...: This one is gorgeous and the name of it totally makes me giggle every time I see it. I have a feeling this one will be a favorite in this collection for a bunch of reasons.

It has beautiful Aqua color shift in it. This polish behaves like a duochrome as well as a holo at times, depending on the lighting.

Eeky Ink: This is the darker purple of the collection. A super deep pretty pink based purple holo.

Okay this one takes the cake as the best name for a nail polish EVER!! Bull-shift: Ha ha ha ....LOVE IT!!!

I'm not a fan of browns, but this one is FABULOUS!!! I love the bronze color shift in this one. To me this is another standout in this set of holos.

Abyss Kiss: This is the lighter purple polish of the set.

Naild'it polishes can be purchase at Llorowe.com and
the Naild'it Etsy Shop. You can follow Naild'it on Facebook HERE to get details of release times and dates!

Spellbound Nails

Press Sample

I have another fabulous Spellbound Nails Polish to show you guys today, Faith, Trust & Pixie Dust

Spellbound nails is a new to me indie and it's one not to miss out on.

Spellbound describes this polish as: Spring in a bottle. Yellow, pink, white, and lots of holographic glitter make this a beautifully refreshing polish

This polish is in a clear base and I layered it over China Glaze's Peachy Keen. I did not thin it, it brushed on perfectly for me so I really am liking the base on this polish. This is 3 coats of Peachy Keen with 2 brushed on coats of  FTP Dust.

This is simply beautiful and stunning. I love the yellow, blue and pink hex glitters in this one. It works perfectly with a peach color base.

If you haven't had a chance to check out Spellbound Nails follow them on Facebook

What do you guys think about this one! Would love to hear your thoughts.

Newspaper Nude by Naild'it!

Press Sample Purchased by Me

Tonight I have a really fun polish to share with you guys. This is Newspaper Nude, and was created by the wonderful Andrea of Naild'it. She sent this lovely polish over for my review. Tow thumbs up on this polish!!

This is 2 coats of Newspaper Nude over 2 coats of Grey Day by Model's Own.

This really does remind me of a newspaper... The grey paper and colorful ads...

The formula on this polish was a tiny bit thick. I did use 3 drops of thinner on it to get the glitters to spread better once I brushed them onto the Grey Day. I topped the manicure off with 2 coats of Seche Vite Top Coat.

I love the jelly like quality this one has as well. The base is actually pretty clear. To achieve the grey base look of the bottle, I simply layered it over Grey Day by Model's Own. It rained all day yesterday and all day today in the Mid-West, so Grey Day is the perfect polish for today :)

Newspaper Nude brought sparkle to my rainy day!

I also want to commend Andrea on the beautiful redesign of the bottle and label. Naild'it has went through a major facelift and transformation, and for the better! The bottles are now square with a non paper label. They are beautiful and classy looking.

Naild'it can be purchased from Llorowe.com or from The Naild'it Etsy Shop. Also, follow Naild'it on Facebook to get all the shop opening times and dates.

Do you guys like this one?

Born Pretty Store Stud Manicure!

Press Sample Purchased by Me

I been seeing a lot of stud manicures around lately, so tonight I decided to attempt one myself. This is what I came up with. Now, this is by no means perfect, but it sure was fun!

Here are the polishes I used...

L to R - Orly Shine, Manglaze Matte is Murder, Manglaze Mayo, Zoya Pixiedust Solange.

(The Manglaze and Orly polishes were purchased by me.)

The studs are from an amazing set available at The Born Pretty Store.

The set includes nail glue, 2 wheels of studs, 1 wheel of rhinestones and a package of several orange sticks. This entire set retails for $12.99 USD!! What an amazing price.

Please note: I did not use the nail glue for my manicure, unfortunately in my attempt to use it the bottle spilled and there was nothing left of it. Instead, I placed my studs into my polish while it was still wet and everything nicely stuck in place.

The stud surfaces are usually shiny, but I wanted a matte finish for everything, so I topped everything off with China Glaze's Matte Magic. I love how the studs mattified!

The variety of shapes and sizes included in this set are pretty mind blowing. There is so much to choose from. I just scratched the surface with a few in my manicure. The set also includes diamond, rectangle and star shapes as well. There is a great mix of gold and silver and the rhinestones come in fun color.

You can let your creativity go wild with this set. I highly recommend owning this if you are into nail art.

If you would like to make a purchase at the Born Pretty Store use my discount code below and receive and 10% off your entire order.

Thanks for visiting!!!
