It's a Party - Pretty and Polished Jawbreaker!

Today is a great day!!!  It is September 8th, and that means it is my Birthday, (*Dances happily around the room*).

As you read this, I am somewhere celebrating my birthday. The reason I say 'somewhere', is because my significant other said he was talking me away for the weekend and to pack my bags  on the 7th (a surprise!!!).  We will not be returning unit the 9th. I have no idea where we are going lol!

I wanted you guys to have something to see while I was away. I will have my ipad and iphone, but I can not post blog posts from either, too much work hahahaha.  I 'will' be following my comments here and my Facebook :)

For my birthday I am celebrating with Pretty and Polished Jawbreaker. It kind of reminds me of confetti cake in addition to a jawbreaker :)

Pretty pretty! I wanna lick my fingers hehehe. This is three coats (no underwear).

I thought this would be so much fun to wear for my mystery birthday weekend!

Thanks for Visiting, and I will be back next week with some awesome new polishes!

Crows Toes Cheshire - MATTE

I loved my Crows Toes Cheshire manicure so much, I decided to keep it on and add a matte top coat!

As much as this polish is gorgeous with a shiny top coat, it's just as gorgeous with a matte top coat.

It totally changes the look of the polish, in a very very good way!

I can not even explain how in love I am with this polish!

Adding a matte top coat can refresh and change a manicure, and it is a must have for all nail polish junkies like myself lol.

Thanks for visiting. What do you guys think?

Crows Toes Cheshire

Evening everyone! Is it Friday yet??? :) Today I did a super amazing manicure with China Glaze Grape Pop and Crows Toes Cheshire. I bought this on a whim surfing around LLarowe.com. This is probably the best whim I have ever had while polish shopping!

My camera had a small heart attack filming this lol. It wasn't sure which part of this goodness to focus in on :) So I did my best!

It started with 2 coats of China Glaze Grape Pop.

I wanted a nice solid creme for the base. I took about 200 pictures of this lol. This post will be very picture heavy :)

When you are looking at this is real life, the glitters are so super shiny they just blend together in a blurriness of blinding glitter - which is a good thing LOL.

I'm keeping this manicure on for as long as I can, which will be until Thursday evening. At that point, I will be packing for my Birthday weekend and will switch over to my Birthday Mani (which I haven't fully planned yet).

If you like super shiny glitters, this polish is for you. I now have a ton of Crows Toes on my wishlist after experiencing this beauty. I believe this one was being discontinued, so try and find it if you can.
(EDIT: as per Overall Beauty this is NOT being discontinued!)

The best part -  smooth with 1coat of Seche Vite and 1 coat of Gelous!

I bet this polish amplifies in the sun. When I get home from work tomorrow, I will be praying for some sun, and I will try real hard to get outside pictures of this and share them on my facebook page.

Hope you guys like this!
Thanks for visiting :)

Review of Naild'it Farm Collection

Happy Sunday all :) Today I have some swatches from the latest Naild'it collection called the Farm Collection. How fun is that? These polishes are named after all farm animals. I'm originally from New York, but I live in the farm land of Missouri now, so as a new 'farm girl' I needed this lol.

Andrea over at Naild'it sent me these to review and here goes. Her shop is currently closed, but follow her on the Naild'it Facebook page, and she will let you know when the shop reopens.

Click 'read more' below to see all the swatches and bottle shots close up!

Naild'it Dandelion

First, this is my second post of the day. Please check out my last post HERE, where I was the featured as the Blogger of the Month over at xoxoalexisleigh.

On to today's post of Naild'it Dandelion. I purchased this polish a bit back, and I finally got around to using it today.

If you are not familiar with Naild'it, you can find Andrea's polishes on Etsy HERE. Her shop name over at Etsy is 'andeevie'. She is a super sweet lady and her polishes are true genius. Every time she creates anything new, it's a must have for my Indie collection.

Today I have Dandelion. Originally I wanted to do this over green, but that seems too 'summerish' to me. Yes, 'summerish' as in too summer like haha. Today is September 1st plus Hurricane Isaac is above us and making things dark and gloomy, so I went with a more 'dark' and gloomy look.

This is 2 coats of Wet n Wild Black, layered with 2 coats of Dandelion. I actually did not thin this one, and the formula was just fine. The Glitters are super pretty in this. It contains small white hex glitter, white bar glitter, medium yellow hex glitter, and large white Hex glitter. There is also a small amount of darker small hex glitter, but because I layered over black those will not show this manicure.

I'm super happy with this manicure, and I was able to give it a Fall touch (less summerish lol) by layering it over black.

I haven't added a Matte Top Coat on a manicure in a while, so today I changed that! I really like to Matte black manicures. I used Hard Candy's Matte Top Coat for this.

Thanks for visiting guys. I hope everyone remained safe and well during Isaac.

Also, don't forget that The Polish Hoochie has joined FACEBOOK, so come visit me there too :)
