Sally Hansen Witches Brew!!

Tonight I have an oldie but goodie. This is an original Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Witches' Brew. I was lucky enough to track this down in a Dollar General several years back. When I first started my blog, this polish was on the top of my wish list so imagine my surprise when I found it. I hunted Dollar Generals for weeks and weeks, and finally got lucky. This polish is one of my pride and joys of my collection and I wanted to share it with you guys. I love old hard to find polishes like this.

Keep in mind this polish is extremely old, I am guessing maybe 1990's??? The glitter in polishes back then were very basic and no where near what we have today, so keeping that in mind, I think this polish is FABULOUS!!!

I wouldn't think of wearing this polish over any other color but black. The base in the above picture is Illamasqua Boosh. The two polishes paired together perfectly!

I have had this on a few days now and I seriously love it. I keep staring at my fingers and thinking how cutting edge this glitter must have been when it first came out.  I'm actually having a hard time removing it and moving on to the next polish lol.

Hope you guys enjoy this one! Thanks for Visiting :)

Born Pretty Store Review and an Awesome Halloween Tape Mani

Today I have something seriously AWESOME!!!

I have been seeing tons of manicures in the nail blog world using striping tape, and I have been really interested in getting some to experiment with. I do not do nail art, so I thought striping tape would be a fun easy way to add some excitement to my manicures.

I wasn't all too familiar with how to purchase tape, and really wasn't sure where to get it.  Many suggested purchasing on Ebay, but lots of us do not use Ebay. So, when the Born Pretty Store approached me and asked if I would like to review some of their products, I jumped at the opportunity. They allowed me to pick a product I liked, and of course I picked the striping tape!

This is what I received in my package...

First I would like to say that this package was delivered to me SUPER FAST from over-seas. I got this package quicker than I get things in the U.S. I'm still not sure how they got it to me this fast. I am very pleased with the excellent shipping. The packaging was excellent as well, everything was  nicely packed.

The package retails for $8.99 (wow, awesome price) and you receive all 12 colors.  WOW again is all I can say. The best part...FREE SHIPPING on every order. That is something I am all on board with. Sometimes shipping can kill us with ordering online. These rolls are packed with tape in every color I can think of. I was beyond impressed with this set. Here is a link to the item if you are interested in checking it out HERE. The store is loaded with awesome other nail art items for great prices as well.

You also get 10% off your order with the following Code: EPL91. I have added this to my sidebar as well for all future orders you may want to place.

Look at all the colors I received...

the 12 colors included are...Gold, Pink, White, Deep Green, Red, Deep Blue, Neon Rose, Silver, Brown, Light Blue, Green, Purple.

I was really excited and decided I was going to dive right in and do a striping manicure!!! I thought about it and had no ideas, but last week while I was lurking around the MakeupAlley Nail Board I ran into a post by nrohloff that was AMAZING, she is brilliant for this idea. I knew immediately I had to recreate it. The MUA post is HERE for you to see.

This is the Inspiration Picture...
As a kid I was obsessed with The Wizard of Oz, so I really fell in love with this idea. Thanks so much nrohloff for this wonderful idea, here is my interpretation of this ...

Indie Spotlight: Naild'it Olympic Rings

Today is the big day for those of us that enjoy watching the Olympics. I love watching the games and experiencing the thrill that so many wonderful talented young adults experience reaching their life long dreams, so very exciting! I love to watch the swimming and gymnastics most.

Today I did an Olympic manicure. I ordered this from Naild'it on her Etsy site the same time I ordered the Summer Lovin Collection which you can see by clicking Here

This polish is in a clear base, and I layered if over OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls. I love that name! I'm a big Spiderman freak. I originally passed this polish up and this post Here inspired me to run out and buy it. It's a wonderful white polish with a touch of grey. You can even see that in my pictures below. This is my new favorite white polish and it gave me 1/2 the headaches that most my other whites are during application. I made my accent nail black (Illamasque Black - my Favorite black) to show off the white bar glitters on that nail.

Here is Olympic Rings....

I love it it. I'm horrible at nail art, and this makes me feel like I can have a 'themed' manicure too.

Then, of course I added Hard Candy Matte top coat lol. I love this stuff.

This came out perfect and I will be sporting these while watching the opening ceremonies (on TV of course lol).

Will you be watching the Olympics? If so, what are your favorite things to watch during the games? I would love to hear from you guys!

Boosh and Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure

Just a quick post for today.  This is Boosh and Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure (1 thick coat).  It was really overcast today, but it I was still able to capture this well enough.

I used my old camera here as I still haven't gotten use to the new one.  I can't get good pictures LOL.  I do not use photoshop and just crop and slightly color adjust, so I want the same effect from my new camera. Hopefully I get the hang of the new one. Hope you guys like it! Thanks for looking :)
