Zoya Satin Swatches - Fall 2013

Press Sample

Tonight I have swatches of the New Zoya Satin Collection for Fall 2013. I LOVE LOVE these, and I think you will as well.

The best part of this collection is that it includes a Gorgeous Top Coat (Maria Louisa) that works with all of the colors. A+ to Zoya for going with a Glitter Top Coat in this collection.

Keep reading on, and you will see the Glitter To Coat on all of the colors...

CLAUDINE

This is my favorite of the entire collection. I think it's PERFECT for Fall. The perfect Black. It has a gorgeous silver sheen to it, and I adore it. I am all about dark colors when it comes Fall.

I took this at different angles and lighting so you can see the lovely silver in it.

I am in love with this color. Thank you to Zoya for creating such a stunning black!

Then to make it fun, I added the Gold Glitter Top Coat that is included in this set for some extra bling! Claudine with MARIA LUISA layered on top.

 GIOVANNA

This was probably the toughest to get an acurate color on. It's a gorgeous Teal/green. Sometimes it leans more Green and other Times more Teal. In the swatch below I had really bright lighting and it looks mostly Teal.

In deeper/darker lighter it almost looks Emerald Green (below).

Below it has a nice mix of Green and Teal. It's very VERY unique and I do not have anything else like it in my collection.

With MARIA LOUISA Top Coat (below). PRETTY PRETTY!!!

NEVE

This is a beautiful unique color as well. It's a perfect mix of Blue and Purple. Need I say anything more?....WOW!!! I'm pretty right on accurate with the color here, and you can see the lovely Purple Flashes.

If you can only pick a few polishes from this collection, make NEVE one of them.

This is a STUNNING polish!!!! I gasped when I put it on lol!

With the MARIA LOUISA Glitter Top Coat. This combination with the top coat was my favorite!

CHANNING

This one was very difficult to capture. It really leans more Cooper Penny than Orange like it's showing here.

This is definitely cooper penny look on this one with slight orange.

It's very very unique and very very pretty.

I did not swatch the Glitter Top Coat on this becasue I felt it wouldn't show enough.

MASON

This is a really stunning Fuschia Pink...But it also has flashes of purple. I have to say Zoya has really made a bunch of complex colors for this set.

It's loud and bright, and it's so me. I'm very loud and bright lol.

Is this not stunning or WHAT!!!

You can really see the purple flash in the above picture.

With the MARIA LOUISA Glitter Top Coat.

This is really beautiful with the flaky gold Top Coat.

Even though this was probably the hardest set to photograph for me, I truly love them. Zoya has really stepped up their game with these very complex Fall colors.

Thanks for visiting and enjoy!

Press Sample

Tonight I have a new 'to me' Indie polish by Fanchro-matic Nails. The  polish I'm showing you tonight is called Into the Black. This polish is expected to release on August 16th, 2013.

It's best described as a black polish with slight blue undertones, with a beautiful silvery shimmer. Need I say more?! These pictures say it all...

WOW this is just straight up off the chain gorgeous!!!! This is my new favorite black polish for sure. The formula was perfect and brushed on flawlessly. Once I added a shiny top coat the polish just exploded with greatness!

This is 2 coats of Into the Black with a top coat of HK Girl. I love the shimmer in this, it really is jaw dropping.

How fun is that label too?

If you are looking for a fun black polish for Fall (and even Halloween) and you don't want just the same ole basic black, this is perfect!!

You can find info on Fanchro-matic Nails on their Facebook page HERE. All release and shop details can be found there.

What do you guys think about this one? I just LOVE it.

Julep Hand Scrub Review

Purchased by Me

Tonight I would like to do a quick review on Julep's Glycolic Hand Scrub. I received this sample in one of my past Maven boxes. To me a hand scrub is essential. It helps to remove dead skin after the use of a cuticle remover and helps to soften the sensitive skin around your nails and nail beds.

The consistency is a typical scrub. I like this one because it's not too harsh. It has a nice feel to it which is strong enough to get the job done, but not too scratchy for sensitive cuticles. It contains 10% glycolic acid and makes your hands so soft after just one use!

I use this all over my hands. It's even gentle enough to use on your face, according to the Julep web site.

I also like to use a scrub when I swatch polishes here on the blog. When you swatch a polish sometimes small bits of the polish remain on your skin after you remove it, and it can be very messy if you are wanting to swatch another polish right after. I use the scrub in between polishes changes and it makes my fingers feel and look fresh for each polish change.

The scrub retails for $23.00 and the Maven price is $18.40. I know that seems like a high price, but you only use a small amount for each use. You can also take advantage of discount codes or sales and grab a tube for a reasonable price.

I love this scrub and will be purchasing a full size bottle for sure.

Trelly's M.I.S.C. Flamingos in the Pool swatch

Press Sample  - Trelly's M.I.S.C
Purchased by Me  - Sation

Just a real quick post tonight. I decided to try out Trelly's M.I.S.C. Flamingos in the Pool. It's a bright pink that leans on the fluorescent side. I layered this over 2 coats of Sation's Beyond the Bubblegum Pink.

It makes me think of the cheesy plastic flamingos that people put in their yards for lawn decorations... hahah.

(above photo courtesy of www.plasticyardflamingo.com lol - not kidding on that website name)

Super fun and bright. I really had fun with this one. The formula was great, I didn't thin it and I brushed and dabbed it on. The stars came out on there own, no having to place them.

If you want to check out more of Cassie's amazing creation, you can track her down on Facebook HERE. She always lists dates with restock information for her Etsy store.

14 Carrots Whimsical Ideas by Pam manicure

This is my first Whimsical ideas by Pam polish, 14 Carrots. I have a our family picnic to attend tomorrow, (we have it once a year), and I wanted something bright and fun. This polish fit the bill perfect.

I'm so pleased how this came out. I layered it over Wet n Wild Sunnyside.

Just note that Sunnyside is more yellow toned and once you layer the 14 Carrots over it, It darkens the color to what you see here. I loved the combination so much.

Orange is one of my favorite colors, so when I saw this polish I had to own it. You can only order these polishes on Facebook. Visit the Whimsical Ideas by Pam's Facebook Page and you can email your order to Pam.

The glitters in this are very simple, just one small hex and small micro glitters, but they really pack a punch for me.

It's gorgeous and simple, but bright and wild lol. Just like me:)

I was super pleased with the consistency. Not gloppy or thick at all. It was easy to brush and dab on. I have a few more of her's that I have ordered, and I'm now anxious to use them. I will have to order more now as well.  There are several I have my eye on.

Thanks for visiting and have a lovely weekend.
