Naild'it - Put a Ring on it...

Press Sample

I'm back, as promised :) Right about now I'm in New York and having a blast (hopefully - lol). It's Mother's Day and I'm with my MOM!!!! Happy Mother's Day to all the lovely Mother's out there today.  I myself do not have my own children, but my husband has three boys, so that makes me a Step Mom :)
I also have 2 cats and I clean up poop, throw up, feed them, bath them, break up fights, clean up after them. In my book that definitely qualifies me as a Mom too. My Husband always gets me something for Mother's Day from the cats lol.  This year we are apart, but we will celebrate when I get back home to Missouri!
On to the post.....today I want you guys to check out this AMAZING polish from Naild'it.  I will warn you ahead of time that I'm going to say I love this polish about 100 times in this post.
This is  clear base polish with Gold, Silver and Holo Glitters. My Mom deserves a gold Medal so this one is for her!
I LOVE THIS POLISH.

I really don't have anything like this in my collection. It's actually just two colors, gold and silver, but it's amazing. I LOVE THIS POLISH! This is 2 coats of OPI: My Boyfriend Scales Walls, with two dabbed on coats of Put a Ring On it (how cute is that name?)!
I think this polish would look amazing on ANY color. I see it over Pink, Red, Gold, Orange, Blue, Purple and Black. It would look amazing on any of these. I LOVE THIS POLISH.

I hope everyone has a happy Mother's Day!! Thanks for visiting as usual and I will back shortly!
You can purchase Naild'it polishes on LLorowe.com or The Naild'it Etsy Shop. Thanks for visiting and I will be back again soon!

Polished Addict - Swatches

Press Sample

Today I have a new Indie Polish for the blog that I'm really excited about! I received a email from Polish Addict asking me to review some polishes, I have only recently seen her polishes pop up on Facebook but I was very intrigued, so I jumped at the opportunity to swatch some polishes for her. Today I will show you 2 polishes that are both mind blowing to me :)
First up is 20/20
This is a super creamy white based polish with scattered glitters in different colors and sizes. This polish is super fun and festive. It reminds me of a birthday party or a birthday cake with sprinkles. The formula on this one was decent, considering it's a white polish. We all know the hardships of white polish (thickness).
I love the large black hex glitters and black bar glitters. We all know about my secret obsession with bar glitters. I think I love bar glitters so much, because so many others fear it lol.

I love the bottles on these polishes. The fun colorful labels are eye catching, and even more so in real life.
Though the formula was slightly thick, (I blame the white base on that), the glitters in this were awesome. They easily brushed on and spread evenly. No fishing for glitters, if that's a concern. I was super impressed with the formula and how smoothly it applied.
Next up is Hypnotize. I can not even tell you how amazing this is. I feel like this polish was custom made just for me lol.  This polish is not in a clear base, it's the color of the bottle, but I still layered it. I believe you can leave it on it's own if you choose to, but you would have to do at least 3 coats.
I layered mine over Sation's Loudest Color. It was a match made in heaven.

CHECK THIS OUT....!!!

This polish is so impressive. The formula was perfect and went on so easily. As in 20/20 the glitters (including the stars) brushed on very easy as well. No fishing for glitters here!
I love the giant white Hex glitters in this. You can see one above on my ring finger nail and below on my pointer finger nail.

This is probably the only polish I have ever had with stars that did not have to be fished out. The glitters are really packed into both of these polishes!

Both polishes were beyond my expectation, and you will be seeing a lot more of this brand here at The Polish Hoochie.  How gorgeous is this??!! I am not taking this one off. I refuse HA!

My favorite part of this polish is the shimmer within it. Can you see it too in the close up above? I'm putting this polish in my number 1 slot of all time. Yes, I love it that much! I already see that this bottle will be used up quickly. I need a back up of this STAT:)
If you want to purchase polishes from Polish Addict you can do so HERE (discontinued shop) or HERE.You can also follow the Polish Addict on Facebook HERE and keep up to date on sale times and restocks.

Crabtree & Evelyn Hand Scrub and Lotion - 60 Second Fix for Hands

Purchased by Me

First, before I get to the 60 Second Fix for Hands, I just wanted you to all know that as you read this I am currently on my way to St. Louis International Airport. I'm headed to New York this up coming week to spend Mother's Day with my Mom. I'm BEYOND excited to see my Mom!!!!!

I haven't been home in over 2 years (she came to visit me last year), so I'm looking forward to seeing all my friends and family. This was a sort of last minute trip, so unfortunately I was not able to line up Guest Posters for my absence.  Have no fear!!! The blog will NOT go silent in my absence. I have several posts auto scheduled (like this one lol) to keep the blog going for the time I am away. Also, I will be on Facebook a lot since I will have so much time off.
So, in short I won't be here but I will be here :) On to my post...

For those that follow my blog and follow me on Facebook, you may remember last month I took a trip to Chicago. While I was there, I hit the Mall and came home with this...

I'm not a big Crabtree & Evelyn Fan, but for some reason I was drawn to the store this time around. I went in and sniffed around (sniffed around - as in smelling and touching everything lol).  The Sales Associate was very polite, and not pushy at all. She did notice me looking at the scrubs and offered to do a hand scrub for me. I love in store demonstrations, it gives me a chance to test products that I would normally not purchase.

She grabbed the set shown above, and did her thing. I loved the feel and the smell of it. I'm really big into hand scrubs. When I use cuticle remover, I always follow that up with a scrub. I also like to use scrubs in between nail swatching....Yes, you heard me right. After I swatch a polish, I remove it, add cuticle oil, and then use a scrub, dry my hands and move on to my next swatch. It cleans things up nicely. After the in-store demonstration, my hands felt like SILK. They were soooooo soft. There was no way I was walking out of that store without this set lol.
This is what is included in the box...

The scent on the scrub and lotion are very strong. I decided on the Citron because I love all things citrus. The set does come in other scents. After you use the scrub and lotion, the smell lingers for at least an hour afterward, so make sure you love the scent.

Call me old fashion, but I love that the scrub comes in a metal tube. The lotion is in a plastic tube. There are just three simple steps:
1. Scrub
2. Rinse
3. Apply Lotion

The scrub is very granular and very scruby. Wait...is scruby a word??? - It is now lol. This is no weak or gentle scrub.  For me that's perfect, it gets rid of all that dead skin on your hands and cuticle area. I really LOVE this scrub.

Now the one surprising factor of this scrub is it does not rinse squeaky clean.  It feels as if you have already applied lotion. I highly recommend going into a store for a demonstration to make sure you really like the texture and soft feel after the scrub.

Naild'it New Holo Polishes!!!

Press Sample

Naild'it has created an amazing line of scattered Holographic polishes, and I have swatches of a few of them here for you guys today!

Many of the Indie Polish makers are diving into the Holographic craze, and Andrea of Naild'it has done an amazing job in this first, of I hope many, Holographic collections.

These swatches are 3 coats in natural sunlight.

(*Please note: there are few other Holo polishes also available, outside of the colors shown above - Starry Eyed Surprise, StarBurt, Glowber - you can see the remaining polishes HERE
)

Salmon Run: The name of this polish is right on the money. The color is exactly that of raw salmon. The formula on this polish was flawless, and the best of the entire collection.

Need I say more? The pictures speak for themselves on these polishes.

Holo!! My Name is...: This one is gorgeous and the name of it totally makes me giggle every time I see it. I have a feeling this one will be a favorite in this collection for a bunch of reasons.

It has beautiful Aqua color shift in it. This polish behaves like a duochrome as well as a holo at times, depending on the lighting.

Eeky Ink: This is the darker purple of the collection. A super deep pretty pink based purple holo.

Okay this one takes the cake as the best name for a nail polish EVER!! Bull-shift: Ha ha ha ....LOVE IT!!!

I'm not a fan of browns, but this one is FABULOUS!!! I love the bronze color shift in this one. To me this is another standout in this set of holos.

Abyss Kiss: This is the lighter purple polish of the set.

Naild'it polishes can be purchase at Llorowe.com and
the Naild'it Etsy Shop. You can follow Naild'it on Facebook HERE to get details of release times and dates!

I hope you guys like these as much as I do. What are your thoughts on these. I'm just loving them.

Spellbound Nails

Press Sample

I have another fabulous Spellbound Nails Polish to show you guys today, Faith, Trust & Pixie Dust

Spellbound nails is a new to me indie and it's one not to miss out on.

Spellbound describes this polish as: Spring in a bottle. Yellow, pink, white, and lots of holographic glitter make this a beautifully refreshing polish

This polish is in a clear base and I layered it over China Glaze's Peachy Keen. I did not thin it, it brushed on perfectly for me so I really am liking the base on this polish. This is 3 coats of Peachy Keen with 2 brushed on coats of  FTP Dust.

This is simply beautiful and stunning. I love the yellow, blue and pink hex glitters in this one. It works perfectly with a peach color base.

If you haven't had a chance to check out Spellbound Nails follow them on Facebook

What do you guys think about this one! Would love to hear your thoughts.
