Spellbound Nails

Press Sample

I have another fabulous Spellbound Nails Polish to show you guys today, Faith, Trust & Pixie Dust

Spellbound nails is a new to me indie and it's one not to miss out on.

Spellbound describes this polish as: Spring in a bottle. Yellow, pink, white, and lots of holographic glitter make this a beautifully refreshing polish

This polish is in a clear base and I layered it over China Glaze's Peachy Keen. I did not thin it, it brushed on perfectly for me so I really am liking the base on this polish. This is 3 coats of Peachy Keen with 2 brushed on coats of  FTP Dust.

This is simply beautiful and stunning. I love the yellow, blue and pink hex glitters in this one. It works perfectly with a peach color base.

What do you guys think about this one! Would love to hear your thoughts.

Newspaper Nude by Naild'it!

Press Sample Purchased by Me

Tonight I have a really fun polish to share with you guys. This is Newspaper Nude, and was created by the wonderful Andrea of Naild'it. She sent this lovely polish over for my review. Tow thumbs up on this polish!!

This is 2 coats of Newspaper Nude over 2 coats of Grey Day by Model's Own.

This really does remind me of a newspaper... The grey paper and colorful ads...

The formula on this polish was a tiny bit thick. I did use 3 drops of thinner on it to get the glitters to spread better once I brushed them onto the Grey Day. I topped the manicure off with 2 coats of Seche Vite Top Coat.

I love the jelly like quality this one has as well. The base is actually pretty clear. To achieve the grey base look of the bottle, I simply layered it over Grey Day by Model's Own. It rained all day yesterday and all day today in the Mid-West, so Grey Day is the perfect polish for today :)

Newspaper Nude brought sparkle to my rainy day!

I also want to commend Andrea on the beautiful redesign of the bottle and label. Naild'it has went through a major facelift and transformation, and for the better! The bottles are now square with a non paper label. They are beautiful and classy looking.

Naild'it can be purchased from Llorowe.com or from The Naild'it Etsy Shop. Also, follow Naild'it on Facebook to get all the shop opening times and dates.

Born Pretty Store Stud Manicure!

Press Sample Purchased by Me

I been seeing a lot of stud manicures around lately, so tonight I decided to attempt one myself. This is what I came up with. Now, this is by no means perfect, but it sure was fun!

Here are the polishes I used...

L to R - Orly Shine, Manglaze Matte is Murder, Manglaze Mayo, Zoya Pixiedust Solange.

(The Manglaze and Orly polishes were purchased by me.)

The studs are from an amazing set available at The Born Pretty Store.

The set includes nail glue, 2 wheels of studs, 1 wheel of rhinestones and a package of several orange sticks. This entire set retails for $12.99 USD!! What an amazing price.

Please note: I did not use the nail glue for my manicure, unfortunately in my attempt to use it the bottle spilled and there was nothing left of it. Instead, I placed my studs into my polish while it was still wet and everything nicely stuck in place.

The stud surfaces are usually shiny, but I wanted a matte finish for everything, so I topped everything off with China Glaze's Matte Magic. I love how the studs mattified!

The variety of shapes and sizes included in this set are pretty mind blowing. There is so much to choose from. I just scratched the surface with a few in my manicure. The set also includes diamond, rectangle and star shapes as well. There is a great mix of gold and silver and the rhinestones come in fun color.

You can let your creativity go wild with this set. I highly recommend owning this if you are into nail art.

If you would like to make a purchase at the Born Pretty Store use my discount code below and receive and 10% off your entire order.

Spellbound Nails and some Julep ...swatches and review

Press Sample

Tonight I have a FABULOUS pairing for you guys. I started with a base coat of Julep's Lauren. This is now my favorite pink polish. The formula on this polish is AMAZING, and I can pretty much say it is perfect. I don't think I have another polish that is this near perfection.  It's a gorgeous jelly like pink and if you don't own this, you really are missing out on fabulous.

The polish went on so easily, and the formula was flawless. This is 2 coats with one cot of Seche Vite as the top coat.

I topped Lauren with Spellbound Nails Madness is Catching.  Spellbound Nails is my new favorite Indie maker. The owner is super fabulous and I was honored to receive this polish for review.

Spellbound Nails can be found on Etsy HERE.

Need I say more? :) The pictures speak for themselves.

This polish is part of the Alice in Wonderland Collection. The nail polish is described on Etsy as containing nine different glitters in a clear base. It is a chaotic mix that just seems to work, not unlike the Mad Hatter himself.

Chaotic and amazing is my description!

I love the large fuchsia pink round dot glitters and the large white hex glitters. The combo of matte and shiny glitters is so fun, and works so well together. With the smaller green glitters it reminds me of a Juicy Watermelon. This Polish is perfect for the summer.

The formula was super on this polish, and I highly recommend this polish maker. Go check her out on Facebook too, and keep up to date with all the Spellbound Nails happenings. She also has amazing nails herself and does awesome nail art.

Zoya Irresistible Collection!

Press Sample

Today I have another Zoya Summer 2013 collection, called Irresistible. The following polishes are so much more impressive on the nail than in the bottle. These polishes are amazing! Read on...

Each of the polishes shown are 2 coats with one coat of Essie Good to Go top coat.

KERRY: A gold metallic foil, Zoya describes all these polishes as 'metallic foils'. I totally agree with the foil part of the description, they are very foil like.

AMY: A bright red/orange foil that is super pretty. It leans more on the orange side than it does red. This polish reminds me of flames and is  stunning.

TINSLEY: This one stands out in the collection for me because of how unique it is. It's described by Zoya as a 'rose gold metallic foil', and that is exactly what it is. It has an old school rose feel to me. The words classic and antique come to mind for me when looking at this polish. If there is only one polish you can purchase in this collection, I would suggest it be this one.

BOBBI: A hot magenta pink metallic foil, that is GORGEOUS to say the least. The pictures show the wild hot pink flashes in this one. This is a perfect color for the summer. Pair this with any hot pink clothing item and it would be stunning!

HAZEL: A blue green metallic foil. This does have a touch a green in it, but it is not a teal color, it pulls mainly blue. It's a pretty smokey blue. It makes me also think of the word antique. it reminds of the blue that old china dishes are made of.

RIKKI: A fern green metallic foil. I hate to sound like I'm repeating myself, but again the words smokey and antique come to mind again. A super classy green. For those of you that are afraid of greens, this would be a great one to come over to the dark side with lol.

The collection is really amazing and very different to other textures that are out there at the moment. It was difficult to remove each color to move on to the next. I will definitely be pulling these polishes out again in the future to use again.

These polishes are available at Zoya.com and retail for $8.00 USD/bottle and $48.00 USD for the complete set.

What do you guys think about these? I would love to hear what you think on this very unique collection.
