China Glaze Naked

I know I have been doing Halloween Manicure's Since Oct 1st, but I did want to sneak in a PINK manicure for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Today I wanted to show you guys China Glaze Naked. This polish is part of the Breast Cancer Awareness Box Set that is part of my 600 Facebook Likes Giveaway, which can be found HERE

I actually got my bottle from Kelly (my SO). He got this for me during this past Christmas, but it was an individual bottle and was not part of a Box Set like it is now. I thought this was the perfect time to use it!

Kelly purchased me a bunch of polishes for my stocking with 'dirty' names for Christmas (a clever idea which he thought up all on his own), and this was one of them. I guess it was some sort of hint of what he wanted for Christmas LOL!!!!

This polish is very delicate and pretty amazing. All of the pictures show 3 coats, with Seche Vite as my Top Coat. This polish is so easy to apply and applying thin layers is easy with the excellent formula. 3 coats is not feeling thick and clumpy at all.

Where this polish stands above other pinks, is the gorgeous shimmer. I would like to say it's 'hidden shimmer', but I see it in most lighting so to me it's just gorgeous shimmer.

This is one of those polishes that I would not pick myself off the shelf. It seems blah and plain in the bottle. This is why I love when Kelly contributes to polish purchases. He picks things I would normally not pick for myself. I would have missed out on this beautiful polish if it wasn't for his awesome gift.

Can you see the shimmer? I know I can, and it was a pleasant surprise when applying this. It made me feel so girly and pretty lol.

If you are wanting this polish, enter my giveaway and you may get a chance to snag this up for yourself. You can enter HERE.

What do you think about this one? Do you like this tone of pink? Does the Shimmer make you want to buy the polish? Leave your thoughts on this one in the comments below.

Thanks for visiting guys. Also, stay tuned...I will have another PINK mani up tonight as well.

600 Facebook Likes Giveaway!

Today is the start of my 600 Facebook Likes Giveaway for ThePolishHoochie's Facebook Page :)

This giveaway is for the US only. This set is for Breast Cancer Awareness, and I want to make sure the winner receives this in October, so mailing times will not allow me to get it to an International mailing address in time.

Cheaters will be prosecuted (lol - just kidding). Cheating is not tolerated and all entries are reviewed. Do not bother cheating, you will just be deleted.

ThePolishHoochie has went Pink for the month of October to help spread awareness and make sure MEN and women are getting checked for this ugly disease.
 Some facts on breast cancer...

  • About 1 in 8 women (just under 12%) will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime.
  • About 2,140 new cases of invasive breast cancer were expected to be diagnosed in men in 2011. A man’s lifetime risk of breast cancer is about 1 in 1,000.
  • For women, breast cancer death rates are higher than those for any other cancer, besides lung cancer.
  • A woman’s risk of breast cancer approximately doubles if she has a first-degree relative (mother, sister, daughter) who has been diagnosed with breast cancer. About 15% of women who get breast cancer have a family member diagnosed with it.
  • About 85% of breast cancers occur in women who have no family history of breast cancer. These occur due to genetic mutations that happen as a result of the aging process and life in general, rather than inherited mutations.
(source of facts)

The Prize:
One full size China Glaze Nail Polish in Naked, One Full Size Bottle of Seche Vite Fast Drying topcoat and a keychain to help remind you all year round to continue to get checked for Breast Cancer.

Close up of the Key Chain. Keep this on your keys and practice awareness all year round.

GOOD LUCK!!!

Review Of Naild'it Candy Wrappers

Today I have a review of another awesome Naild'it polish. Today is Candy Wrappers. I was pleasantly surprised by this one. This is a beautiful milky based polish that I have really started growing on me. If you are a fan of polishes like Jawbreaker from Pretty and Polished, then you will love this one as well.

I love the amount of glitters and depth packed into this polish. So many different colors and shapes suspended in a milky base.

This one dries on the gritty side, so make sure you use a nice leveling top coat such as Seche Vite or Glitter Food (aka: Fix a Flat) from Nail Pattern Boldness. I used glitter food and it is smooth as glass. Just a side note, Glitter Food dries Matte so make sure you add your favorite glossy top coat over it, I used NYC Grand Central Station.

The above pictures is two coats, so you get to opaque effortlessly. The formula was fabulous as well. I did not use thinner on this one.

I love that this has some irregular shaped glitters in it, outside of the round and hex shapes. This is very unique for sure.

Naild'it can currently be purchased at LLarowe and Candy Wrappers is currently in stock (at the time of this post).

Does you guys like this? What do you think of these milky based polishes? I avoided them for so long and now I realize I shouldn't have lol.

Review of Naild'it Ghost Hunt! Glow in the Dark Polish

Tonight I will be reviewing GHOST HUNT by Naild'it. I was so so happy when I saw this in the mail. As soon as I heard that it glowed in the dark, It had to become mine!

I love the multi color semi transparent hex glitters in this!!! I layered this over a very old Maybelline Colorama called Cool Blues. Finding a base coat for this was a bit tricky. This is 2 coats of Cool Blue, with 2/3 coats of Ghost Hunt.

This turned out a lot better than I thought it would. I thinned this, as I do to all my Indie polishes. It makes application so much better. After I added 4 drops of thinner I gave it a shake, and it was perfect.

These nails are so fun looking.

The best part ...It GLOWS IN THE DARK!!!
This is the coolest polish ever!

Naild'it is now selling at Llarowe which can be found if you click HERE. Her Etsy shop is closed for the time being.

Thanks for visiting! What do you guys think of this one?

Trelly's M.I.S.C Polish - Zero

I promised I would start my Halloween polishes early, I have so many that I have to start early or I will not get them all used before the 31st! I will have a few other (non-halloween) post as well if I'm able to squeeze them in. It will be an exciting fun month here at TPH. I wanted to start on Oct 1st, so let's all pretend today is the 1st, okay :)

Today I used Zero by Trelly's M.I.S.C Polishes. I purchased this when she first released her Halloween collection, which can be found on her Etsy store HERE. I layered it over Orly's Enchanted Forest, which is a gorgeous deep dark green.

Also, I now have nubbins hehehe. I usually like to keep them as short as possible, but lately I did let them grown. Of course I had a break, so my nubbins are back!!!

How incredible is this!!!! My pictures do not even do this justice. Between the super sparkly orange hex glitter and the shimmer in the smaller glitters, it is just beyond fabulous. Here is the description from Trelly's Etsy Store...

Zero is a part of the Halloween Collection. Inspired by Nightmare Before Christmas' Zero the polish is ghostly with a pop of orange for his nose!! It has white and orange glitter in a shimmery clear base.

You can clearly see by the bottle shot below how different this is, I LOVE IT!!!

I also love the large square glitters and the heart glitters.  How can you not fall in love with a Halloween polish with hearts in it lol.

I had so many compliments on this today. I work in a bank so people see my nails a lot, but only certain polishes bring out lots of compliments like this one did.

One of the greatest things about this polish is the glitters (including the hearts) are FLAT FLAT FLAT. No issues with lumps and bumps at all. You gotta love that. I didn't have to dig for anything, everything was just on the brush. This had an incredible formula. I did use thinner, but you really have to on all Indie polishes. Uncut base it VERY thick and you do have to treat it right.

Hope you guys like this. For those who own this and for those that purchase this, you will see the incredible pow wow that my poor little camera didn't pick up and you will not be disappointed.

Thanks for visiting guys, and please leave your thoughts below. I love to here what you guys have to say :)
