Added Essie Shine of The Times to RBL No More War

I was bored with my Rescue Beauty Lounge: No More War so I wanted to kick it up some. I decided to add Essie Shine of the Times, and all I can say is WOW!!!

I would not have waited this long to use this polish if I knew just how amazing it is. 

GORGEOUS!!! If you have this polish make sure you do not keep it in your untrieds.

I took this is different light angles to see the color flash.

In this light it looks like a RAINBOW!!!

This polish is SO DENSE and SO AMAZING!

Untried No. 1 - RBL No More War NOTD and a Comparison

Today is the first day of my 2012 Untried Challenge. My first polish up is Rescue Beauty Lounge: No More War. I got this in a swap and I HAD to use. I absolutely LOVE LOVE this color. My Favorite Nail Polish Color is Green and these that are called Baby Puke (lol) are my favorite types of color. It is mind blowing.

I missed out on ordering this back in 2010 when RBL had their end of year 50% off sale. Soon after that sale I cut my hand and dropped out of polish for awhile. In the time of my absence from polish the color was discountinued. I have to say this was my biggest regret of all time. 

After much waiting and searching, I was able to obtain this in a swap.  I have to say as of right now this is my favorite color in my collection of about 320 polishes.

YUMMY for me :) 

It's a gorgeous green with a slight yellowish tint. A true Beauty all around.

I also decided to do a comparison with Zoya Dree as I myself was curious what the difference was.

Sorry for the messy swatch :) As you can see the colors are not even close. The Zoya is a true army green and the RBL is more yellow and deep.

Challenge for 2012 & upcoming GIVEAWAY

A few announcements:

Here are the details of my personal blog challenge for 2012. 

I want to tackle my untried nail polishes. My collection is close to about 325 bottles and 90% is untried!!!  My day for doing this will be Saturday/Sunday. These are the only true days I have off work.  Each Saturday/Sunday I will be using an untried and posting it here. 

I know for most this doesn't seem like a hard challenge of once a week, but for someone that has 2 jobs - it is lol! It will only make a small dent in my untrieds, but it's a start :) 

I still want to purchase new polishes, so if they are used they will be posted during the week. Stay tuned, this Saturday will be the start of this, and untried #1.

Also, I'm getting close to 200 followers (Wow)! When I started this all I never imagined I would get that many followers. I love it! I'm going to be having a 200 followers giveaway - Including International followers as well. I have different ideas of what polish I will have in the giveaway, so as it approaches I will let you guys know when it starts and what will be up for grabs.  

I don't like anything too complicated for giveaways so easy rules will apply.  Post my giveaway on your Blog, leave a comment, and finally answer a simple nail related question. That's it :)

NOTD - Butter London Black Knight

 (Second Post for the day - make sure you scroll down to see my New Year's Eve Mani)

For today I have on Butter London The Black Knight. I went back and forth on this polish. I wasn't sure If I should purchase this or not.  I knew it was LE, but I still couldn't decide.  Kelly bought me this for Christmas and I am so glad. I'm not sure why it was ever a question to own or not to own - IT IS GORGEOUS!!! Thanks to Kelly for making sure I didn't later regret not getting it, as it seems it's getting harder to find now.

I do have a gripe with this polish though. For me the formula was HORRIBLE, probably one of the worst I have ever worked with. I repeat HORRIBLE about 5 times here. Mine was thick and a complete hot mess.  I HAD to add thinner or I wouldn't have been able to apply it.  It still thickened on me as I went along.  The brush was no fun either.  My brush was scraggly and pathetic looking lol. It was a hot mess all around.

I actually cursed this polish while I was applying it lol. I got so frustrated. Kelly was silent as I cussed and threatened to toss the bottle out the window LOL. This polish has been very popular over at MUA and there have been many pictures of it, but I don't remember anyone complaining about it?? Am I the only one that despises this formula?? Please leave comments below as I'm really curious how you like yours if you own this.

On to pictures...

I did use one coat of Gelous as this is a man eating glitter lol.  Next time I will most likely use two coats of Gelous. I did add SV Ultra-V Top coat and it's now glass smooth. For those of you that don't have it, Gelous (available at Sally's Beauty Supply) is a must have if you like glitters.

I do have to say as much of a Pain this was to apply - it really was worth it. It really does shine! 

There is a Franken formula for this polish, and I'm curious to try it and see what the comparison is.

Sally Hansen Rockstar Pink

I believe you dump 1/3 of the Midnight in New York out of the Bottle and add the Rock Star Pink til full again.
