Untried No. 8 - Happy Go Lucky

Hope everyone is having a wonderful week. Time for another Untried Saturday :) (a little early)

Today's Untried is China Glaze Happy Go Lucky.

I purchased this when it first came out, and it went into my Helmer, and has not seen the light of day since. I decided to bring it out for today's untried manicure. I wanted something bright and cheery, and Happy Go Lucky fits the bill :)

As we all know, yellow is the most finicky polish. It usually runs very thick, and takes several coats to apply. This was no exception. The first coat is very streaky and almost impossible to apply thin. The second coat is slightly better, but not by much. The polish does comes to life on the 3 coat. It evens out nicely. I did used thinner on it prior to using it and once again while applying. It was STILL very gloppy and thick while applying.

BUT - the color is amazing. It is very worth the troublesome application. It's the perfect yellow for me. I just love how it looks.

I always give these types of polishes (that are thick and difficult to apply) extra time to dry. There is a definite feel of 'thickness' on this polish once it's on, but I still love it!

Do you guys rock yellow polishes? If so I would love to hear which ones.

Sally Hansen Product Review - VitaSurge and Cuticle Eraser + Balm

Today I'm going to do a product review of Sally Hansen's New Products. Cuticle Eraser + Balm and VitaSurge Cuticle Gel.

I have been eying these in Walgreens for awhile now and I finally took the plunge. The $6 plus price tag of each deterred me at first, but I finally broke down and tried them out. I am so glad that I did. They are both amazing for me.

First up is VitaSurge (the Orange Bottle).

This stuff is AMAZING! It's a gel so it is not like your typical cuticle oil. It dries in seconds and dries matte and not shiny! This stuff is perfect for taking NOTD pictures. When your fingers are dry and flaky after doing a manicure and you want to quickly snap that perfect NOTD picture, this is the go to product. It dries instantly and there is not even the slightest trace of oil. It has a sponge applicator, similar to lip gloss. No more oily shiny finger NOTD shots! This is a new HG product for me. I hate having to oil up and wait to take pictures. Now there is no wait, PLUS it makes your cuticles so smooth looking. I will never take a NOTD picture or picture here again without using this first.

Next up is the Cuticle Eraser + Balm.

I LOVE THIS STUFF. It's also not greasy at all, and does not leave a shiny look either. It's the perfect follow up to the VitaSurge. I would definitely recommended using both products together.  I also love the smell. I can not use this stuff without sniffing away lol. It makes my cuticles feel so soft and moisturized.

I have been using both for a week and all my other Cuticle Oils, Balms, And even my CND Cuticle Eraser have all been tucked away in a drawer. My Cuticles look really improved and my fingers feel so great using this stuff. This will be a new staple for me as well.

I would love to hear from those that have tried it. Did you like them? If so why or why not. Leave your responses in the comments below.
