Old School Sally Hansen Swatches

As promised, here are the swatches from my 'Old School' Sally Hansen Dollar Tree Hard as Nails Polish collection.  I took too many pictures, but I can never help myself, and I always take too many pictures *Grins innocently*

Okay enough of my yap yap :) and on to the Swatches.  To recap, here are the polishes I will be swatching today.

(Left to Right: Magnet, Radar, Diamond Dust and Cyber)

Now for the swatches! First up is Magnet

This is 3 coats.  I loved the formula on these glitters, especially since they are so OLD! I did use 3 drops of thinner in each to make sure I didn't get any globbers, and I think it did the trick.

This is such a gorgeous blue and all the sparkles are so YUM!!

Next Up is Radar

This is also 3 coats and it is a gorgeous wine ....did I mention the sparkles!!!

Are you drooling yet? I past drooling awhile ago lol.

Next up is Cyber

Yes Yes, I know - YUCK? This was not exactly what I expected of this polish.  I was hoping that it was more true to the bottle color like Magnet and Radar were. It's too much of a puke yellowish green.  I decided in order for this to look more like the bottle I added my own touch and layered it over my Favorite Green - OPI Greenwich Village.

Hahhhh.....So Much Better - Less Pukey Green :)

This color always makes me Happy

Pretty Pretty Pretty!!! Don't forget to check out the sparkles!
(you can click on the pictures to enlarge them)

and....

Wait for it....

Wait for it....

Finally *drum roll please* is Diamond Dust

First I would NEVER wear this alone, It makes my nails look stained and they really aren't lol.  Plus This is more of a top coat in my book, but I wanted you to see the true color and GLITTER and HOLO ....Yippee!

I changed the lightening up in these pictures so you can see the Holo effect. I blurred several shots so you can see it's true beauty and glory!

Lovely, just pure LOVE! It reminds me of an old 80's Disco Ball. These polishes take me back to my high school days :) It's like having a time machine and being able to warp back in time LOL.

I Hope you guys liked the swatches today and I hope everyone has a fun exciting weekend ahead. Let me know which is your favorite!

Til next time.....CIAO all

Kickin' it Old School with Sally Hansen

I have been gathering up some Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Old School polishes. Check out these awesome beauties that I just happened upon!

(Left to Right: Magnet, Radar, Diamond Dust and Cyber)
*remember to click on pictures to enlarge them

I am like a fly to bright lights when it comes to glitters haha, like so many of you.  I just can't help but to love these glitters as favorites in my collection. The one issues with these polishes is that they are not always easy to come by, but Dollar Trees tend to have hidden treasures like these waiting for polish lovers like us to come by and take them home. Okay, I know what many of you are saying right now...I can hear it now, "My Dollar Tree never has anything good". I had those very same thoughts.  I had visited my local DT (Dollar Tree) many many times (may 20 or more), and right when I was giving up hope, BAM these all appeared on the rack.  I just couldn't believe my eyes.  I was sure I was having a polish dream lol. I had to do some serious digging to get to them, but it was worth it!!

(Left to Right: Magnet, Radar, Diamond Dust and Cyber)

Here are some close ups

Have any of you been lucky in your Dollar Tree Adventures, Let me know in the comments what beauties you have found.  I'm always loving to know what others find in their Dollar Trees.

BB Couture Frosty Meadow

Sorry for my long absence, but life has been so crazy for me these past few weeks. I have been doing some serious outside work on the house that I have been planning since I moved here a couple of years ago.  I have to re-stain the deck and have about a billion new pieces of deck furniture to put together YES a billion hahaha. I also have a huge area in the back yard that had gotten to be a mess.  I started piling things back there that were junk when I cleaned out the garage (YIKES). It started out small throwing things out there that were needing to be trashed, and then it got worse and worse.  It started to look like a junk yard back there *embarrassed* lol. I'm thankful I am far from neighbors and the eye sore was only visible to me *hides in shame* :)  Well, I finally got a dumpster and cleaned house :) I can't tell you how great and accomplished I feel.  I also dug out all the flowers beds too.  The previous owners had put down wood around the beds and it was rotted and old.  I dug them all up 7 GIANT flower beds all around the house.  I also cut down more trees and bushes than I can remember counting.  More like weeds and dead brush lol.  It took a good while, but it's almost done!!! I am now lining the beds with beautiful stones and planting all new bushes and flowers.  I'm adding water fountains, bird baths and all kinds of fun garden things around the entire house.  It so improved I'm shocked...It is starting to look like one of those major yard overhauls you see on HGTV lol.  I took before pictures, during and of course and I will take after pictures as well.  I'll post them here when I get a chance :) I have done so much work it's crazy and yes girls I used gloves BUT ....

Of course I destroyed my nails :( I had to cut them all down and I smashed the heck out of my middle finger nail.  REALLY BAD ouchy.  I tore the poor thing to shreads. So please keep that in mind on my pictures. I now have lovely shorties and a smashed to death middle nail lol (nothing gross looking I promise).  It's going to take a long time before it starts looking normal again, but thankfully the polish hides a lot.
Now on to the nails :) Today my BB Couture haul showed up *YIPEE dance*.  I ordered all greens.  I looked them all over and totally fell head over heels for Frosty Meadow - IT'S FABULOUS!!! Okay enough blah blah from me (hehehehe)... on to the pictures

Love the green/gold and speckle glitter in this polish!

You can see how badly I messed up my middle finger nail :(

I figure in about 2 - 3 weeks it will look undetectable - Hopefully!!!

Thanks for visiting :) and thanks for all the lovely comments that were left while I was gone.
